No demonstrations on this May Day, but the lockdown does not prevent young workers to voice their concerns and aspirations. The International Young Christian Workers are conducting a survey on how young workers are experiencing this exceptional crisis. While many of them are in precarious employment or surviving in the informal economy, the IYCW calls for better social protection and for income support, so that young workers can get through this crisis with dignity. At the same time, they hope that this crisis is an opportunity to rethink our social and economic system.
