CLC is an independent trade union confederation in Cambodia, representing 113,000 workers in different sectors of the Cambodian economy: textile and garment industry, tourism, construction, food and services, transportation, manufacturing industries, financial services, agriculture, informal economy. CLC has 8 affiliated federations who are active all over the country. Its garment federation, C.CAWDU, supports more than 80,000 workers in the textile and clothing industry, the majority of whom are women. It defends their interests with the aim of improving their working conditions, by organizing training and awareness campaigns and by carrying out advocacy work with the authorities and negotiations with their employers, with the support of the Clean Clothes Campaign.
